For onboarding and growth teams

New users get set up on their own, on your real screens

New users stall on setup steps nobody explained. Skavelo suggests the next task, walks them through it on the live page and fills in forms with the details they give, so they reach the useful part of your product without a call or a ticket.

Why new users stall

Tours cover one path

A product tour follows the path someone planned. New users take others, and ask about things the tour never mentions.

Blocked without a reason

A switched off button, like Create campaign before a domain is verified, stops people with no hint of what to do first.

Setup means forms

Settings, imports and first records are forms full of fields new users haven’t met yet.

How Skavelo helps

  • Suggests the next task

Suggestions above the widget, shown by page and by who the user is, such as trial users on the billing page. Skavelo can draft them from what it learned.

  • Walks them through it

It highlights each button on the live page, across screens, for whatever they ask, not only the tasks you planned.

    How walkthroughs work
  • Fills in setup forms

Given the details, it opens the right screen and fills in the fields, then leaves the final click to the user.

    How form filling works
  • Offers the next walkthrough

Choose moments to offer a walkthrough before anyone asks, such as a trial user’s first visit to Invoices. It shows once per person and starts only when they click.

    How walkthrough offers work
  • Explains switched off buttons

Pressed twice, a switched off button brings an offer of help that includes your app’s own tooltip for it, so the answer can say what to do first.

  • Shows only to the people you choose

Target by page, plan, role or any trait your app passes, such as trial users only, and roll out to a share of visitors first.

What you can track

The Monday summary shows how many walkthroughs people finished and left early, and the step most of them stopped at. The conversation log shows what new users asked, filtered by plan or tag.

To connect that with activation, send the widget’s events, like a finished walkthrough, to the analytics you already use.

Questions

Do we have to build an onboarding flow?
No. Skavelo drafts walkthroughs from what it learns about your app and builds one for any question. You choose which tasks to suggest, or let it draft suggestions.
Can we show it only to new or trial users?
Yes. Targeting and suggestion rules use what your app passes when it identifies a user, such as plan is trial, along with page, country and device.
Does it replace our product tour?
It can, if your tour exists to get users through setup tasks. Skavelo can offer a learned walkthrough when a new user reaches the right page, and because it re-learns your app, the walkthrough keeps working after a redesign. Teams that want a fixed, designed first run with checklists or announcements can keep their tour and add Skavelo for every question after it.
Does it work on phones?
The widget works in mobile browsers, and you can choose which devices see it and each suggestion. It doesn’t run inside native mobile apps.
