Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Peleka LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company that does business as Skavelo (“Skavelo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Skavelo, you agree to them. If you use Skavelo for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have the authority to do so.
01Accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for the information you give us, for keeping your sign in details safe, and for everything that happens in your account and workspace, including what your teammates do. Tell us right away at hello@skavelo.com if you suspect someone else has access.
02What Skavelo does
Skavelo is a guide you add to your web product. It learns your product from the websites and web app you add, answers your users’ questions, shows them the steps on screen, and, if you set them up, reads their data with lookups and carries out actions they approve. We may change and improve Skavelo over time. If we remove something you rely on, we’ll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
03Letting Skavelo learn your product
When you add a website or web app, you authorise Skavelo to visit it and, with a test account you provide, to sign in and explore it.
- Only add sites and products you own or have permission to have Skavelo access.
- Use a test account with sample data, not real customer records: anything visible to that account can end up in what Skavelo learns.
- While exploring, Skavelo blocks every request that would change data in your product. You’re still responsible for making sure your test account can’t cause harm, for example by not giving it access to live payments or real customer messages.
04AI generated answers
Skavelo’s answers, walkthroughs and filled in forms are generated automatically from what it learned and what your users ask. They can be incomplete or wrong. You’re responsible for reviewing how Skavelo answers your users, for the knowledge you give it, and for the decisions your product makes. Skavelo isn’t a source of legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and you shouldn’t set it up to give any.
05Lookups, actions and form filling
- You choose what Skavelo can reach. Lookups and actions call endpoints in your product that you set up. They run from your user’s browser with that user’s own session, so your product decides what they’re allowed to read and do. You’re responsible for the endpoints you connect and for what they return and do.
- Actions wait for your user. Skavelo shows what an action will do and sends nothing until the user approves it.
- Form filling stops before the final click. When a user asks Skavelo to do a task, it may enter the details they gave and open screens on the way, but the user always makes the final click, such as Save or Send.
06Your content and your users’ data
You own what you put into Skavelo and what it learns from your product, and the conversations with your users. You give us a limited, worldwide licence to host, process and transmit it only as needed to provide Skavelo to you. We don’t use it to train AI models.
For your users’ data, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for telling your users about Skavelo, for having a lawful basis for the user details you send and the lookups you set up, and for not sending sensitive information through Skavelo, such as health information or full payment card numbers.
07Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Skavelo for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, or to collect information from people without telling them;
- point Skavelo at sites or products you aren’t authorised to access, or use it to copy other people’s content;
- get around plan limits, allowed sites or other controls, or use one account to serve unrelated companies without our agreement;
- try to break, overload, probe or reverse engineer Skavelo, or reach other customers’ data;
- use Skavelo to build a competing product, or resell it without our written permission.
We may limit, suspend or end access that breaks these rules or puts other customers or users at risk.
08Plans, fees and limits
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor, and renew automatically until cancelled. Fees don’t include taxes, which you pay where they apply.
- Plan changes take effect straight away, and the difference for the rest of the billing period is charged or credited on your next invoice. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Each plan includes a number of conversations a month. A conversation is one person’s question and their follow-ups, and ends after 30 minutes without a question. Conversations you start from your Skavelo dashboard to test don’t count, within reasonable limits. Extra conversations you buy are used after that allowance and are valid for 12 months. When both run out, Skavelo answers a small number more, then tells your users help isn’t available until your allowance renews.
- Fees aren’t refundable, except where the law requires it or we say otherwise. We do refund the first payment for your first paid plan if you ask within 30 days of it.
- The free plan includes Skavelo branding and lower limits. We may change or end free plans and trials, and apply reasonable limits to prevent abuse.
09Other services you connect
You can connect Skavelo to other tools, such as a support chat for handing conversations to your team. Those tools are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for how they work. If a connection changes or stops working, we’ll try to tell you, but we can’t promise services we don’t control stay available.
10Our property
Skavelo, its logo, software, design and documentation belong to Peleka LLC and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms don’t give you rights to them beyond using Skavelo as intended. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11Disclaimers
Skavelo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement. We don’t promise that Skavelo will be uninterrupted or error free, or that its answers will be accurate or complete.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Skavelo isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Skavelo, including from answers it gives or tasks your users complete with it. Our total liability for any claim about Skavelo is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Skavelo harmless from claims, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, the sites and endpoints you connect, how you use Skavelo with your users, or your breach of these terms or the law.
14Ending the agreement
You can stop using Skavelo and delete your workspace or account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others. If we end it without cause, we’ll refund prepaid fees for the unused period. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability and disputes, still apply afterwards.
15Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we’ll tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. If you keep using Skavelo after that, you accept the updated terms.
17General
These terms, our Privacy Policy and, where we process personal data for you, our Data Processing Agreement are the whole agreement between you and Skavelo about Skavelo. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
